Dear Alameda Community,
Thank you all for your participation in the recent community meetings and voting process regarding the potential for a 6th grade transition in the Alameda area. Following a thorough process which included community meetings, school accountability conversations, and a vote by stakeholders in the area, the district has determined this transition to be overwhelmingly against the wishes of the Alameda community.
The 6th grade students in the Alameda area will remain in the elementary schools. 6th grade will not transition to Alameda International.
We appreciate your dedication and engagement in the Alameda area.

Alameda Area Families,
Earlier this year we began conversations regarding sixth grade in the Alameda area. We hosted community meetings at each elementary school. We have heard excitement as well as questions and concerns.
Additional community input meetings are happening
January 22nd and February 5th 2020 to discuss the possibility of 6th grade transitioning to Alameda Jr./Sr. International. During these meetings we will share factual information, answer frequently asked questions, and provide the opportunity for you to share your feedback.
