Welcome to Deane Elementary PTO
Parent Teacher Organization
We extend a warm welcome to all new and returning families to
Deane for the 2023-24 school year!
What is PTO? PTO helps support our students and staff through fundraising efforts, community building events, and regular PTO meetings with principal and teacher updates. PTO allows parents and guardians to actively engage in their student’s education and collaborate with teachers and principals on a variety of levels to make Deane a fantastic school.
Meetings: PTO meetings are open to all parents, guardians, and staff of Deane Elementary. Come discuss issues related to our children’s education and Deane’s growth as a school. We encourage everyone to attend at least one meeting during the school year to learn what’s new at Deane, hear the teacher updates, and help discuss fundraisers, events, and other important topics.
Complimentary snacks and child care are provided.
PTO meetings are held in the Deane Elementary Library and alternate times each month in order to meet all of our families unique schedules.

Once a month our Family Engagement Liaison, School Counselor, and Admin team hold a family support group to discuss topics relevant to parenting and student development, their student's education, and other school related topics. It's a great opportunity to make connections with other family members, learn new ideas and strategies, get involved and stay informed with school related news and topics. We hope to you will join us for our next meeting!
Fundraisers: Did you know that through fundraising efforts, we were able to buy field day t-shirts and ribbons, pay for some field trips and the buses for field trips, provide each of our teachers with $150 for classroom supplies, as well as pay for teacher appreciation day, dinner for our teachers during conferences, some continuing education seminars for staff, and educational supplies?
Become involved! Attend PTO, volunteer, make your voice heard about issues you are concerned about! Do you have an issue, question, or concern you’d like to bring to the school community’s attention, but can’t make a PTO meeting? Email us at [email protected]. We look forward to meeting new members and connecting with returning members.
Best Regards,
Deane PTO Members
